Although the rooms were very simple with tiny beds and bathrooms that felt more like a hostel, the hotel's service was pleasant but could have been more attentive. The location, offering stunning views and being away from the main tourist areas, was the highlight of my stay. The dining experience, while simple, was accompanied by the beautiful view. Even though the hotel had stunning views over the fjord and was just off the center of Flam, the rooms were very basic and resembled a hostel more than a hotel. The price seemed quite high for what was offered, especially with limited dining options in the half-board package.
